World Book Day 2019

World Book Day is a registered charity who's main mission is  to give every child and young person a book of their own.

World Book Day brings together the UK and Ireland’s publishing and book selling industries in an extraordinary collaboration.

It's also a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and of course most importantly it's a celebration of reading.

Every year World Book Day is at the beginning of March in the UK  but in other countries it takes place on 23 April.

World Book Day 2020 will be on the 5th of March and is marked in over 100 countries around the world.

This page celebrates some of the most popular children's  authors old and new.

Here we have stalewarts such as Michael Bond the author of the worlds most famous Bear to Lauren Child who is responsible for the ever popular Charlie & Lola.

We even have an appearance by TV comedian Julian Clary who's Bolds series has become extremely popular.

Hope you enjoy my selection, we will be back again next year with more fabulous titles.
