Healthy Vegan Cooking

All Titles on this page are available to purchase from Europe, USA and Canada

Coined by Donald Watson  in 1944 Veganism arose when he co-founded the Vegan Society in England.

Initially Veganism was used  to mean  a person who did not eat milk or dairy products, however, from 1951 the Society defined it as "the doctrine that man should live without exploiting animals"

So by definition Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes eggs meat, dairy products and all other animal derived ingredients.

Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and some wines.

Now I have to admit that myself, am a big fan of meat, I try not to eat red meat too often but I  am a big fan of chicken, so the thought of a Vegan lifestyle is not one that appeals to me.

However, Veganism has become enormously popular over the last few year, so I have included a page especially for Vegans who may need a little help in finding a cookbook.

Below are some of the most popular Vegan Cookbooks on Amazon (all 4 or 5 star rated).
